Introduction to the church
It is great to introduce the Atlanta Korean-Americans church of Christ.
First of all, it is a church that is being planted and ministered by an American church, Chestnut Drive Church of Christ. It is serving the Doraville community for about 65 years. It is being led by three biblically selected elders, and five biblically selected deacons, and two biblically trained ministers. It is not a big congregation but its work for the gospel is greater than any other churches. One of its gospel works is the evangelism for internationals in the Greater Atlanta. One of them is toward Spanish speaking folks and the other toward Koreans. The international minister who is working full time for evangelism speaks both Korean and English. The folks whom he is reaching are English speaking internationals as well as Koreans.
The foremost feature of this church is that it works according to, lives by, and teaches only the Bible. It has nothing like the Confession of Faith, Creed, or Church Constitution, which are not the Bible. We believe that only the Bible is the legitimate source of life for a church as well as for individuals (2 Timothy 3:15). However, holding up to the Scripture is not jus a slogan or a rule but it is to live by it. Therefore, the biggest result of this principle is that the life of the church and also of the members are godly. As the Scripture teaches to love one another and our neighbor as ourselves, in this church, there is no quarrel, dispute, or competition but genuine love and servitude in love. This may be the biggest practical difference of this church from other churches which are ruled by human rules, such as the Confession of Faith, Creed, or Church Constitution that is not the Bible itself.
If anyone wants to live by the Scripture among those who are doing their best to live so, he or she is always welcome.
God bless you.
